1. Who we are

meew is a voice thought-capture app for iPhone. This policy explains how the app handles information on your device. Contact: contato@meewapp.com.

2. We don't collect data

meew does not send your thoughts, recordings, transcriptions, photos, location, or any other information to the internet. Everything you capture is stored locally, in the app's private storage on your iPhone. We have no servers that receive your data, and we have no access to what you store in the app.

3. Permissions the app may request

meew requests access to some iPhone features solely to function, always locally and under your control:

• Microphone: to record your voice when capturing.
• Speech recognition: to transcribe your voice to text. Transcription is done on the device itself (on-device mode); audio is not sent to servers.
• Photos: only when you choose to attach an image to a thought. Images are stored locally in the app.
• Calendar (write-only): used only if you choose to export an event to the iPhone calendar. The app does not read your events.
• Location (while in use): optional. If authorized, records the approximate location at the time of capture, saved locally with the note. No continuous tracking.
• Notifications: reminders (for events and medications) are generated and scheduled locally on your device.

You can grant or revoke any of these permissions at any time in Settings > meew on your iPhone.

4. On-device artificial intelligence

The automatic organization of your thoughts into "drawers" uses Apple AI models (Apple Intelligence / Foundation Models) running 100% on your device. The content of your thoughts is not sent to the cloud for this classification.

5. Where your data lives

Your data lives in the app's local storage on your iPhone. It may be included in your own device backups (iCloud Backup or computer backup) if you use that Apple feature. These backups are controlled by you and governed by Apple's privacy policy, not by meew.

6. Sharing

meew does not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone. The only times information leaves the app are when you actively choose it: by using the share button (e.g., sending your grocery list via another app) or by exporting an event to your calendar. In those cases, the destination is defined by you.

7. Children

meew is not directed at children under 13 and does not intentionally collect information from children.

8. How to delete your data

You can delete thoughts, items, and drawers individually within the app. To remove everything, simply uninstall the app: this eliminates all local meew data on the device.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves (for example, when introducing optional iCloud sync in the future). When that happens, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, if the change is significant, notify you in the app.
